It's Fun to be ONE!

Since this is my first Smash Cake Session entry on here, I wanted to explain a little bit about why cake sessions are my absolute favorite! Obviously, for most children this age, they were never given their own cake and told to "EAT IT, SMASH IT, GET YOUR CAKE!". It usually starts like this: the child slowly and cautiously sticks their little fingers into the icing. They then hold up their hands and look at them, with a puzzled look on their face. They do this a few times, until they realize that the gooey, slimy stuff is actually sweet and tastes pretty good too! They start to laugh, and 99.9% of the time, either talk to or yell at their cake. After they have eaten a few bites, they glance at mom or dad with a look that says "I'm not in trouble for this mess I'm making?" Baby E's session went pretty much like that!

It's About Time!

Ok! I finally did it! I bit the bullet and decided to start a blog which will feature some of my work, as well as anything I find interesting or helpful to fellow photographers! I'm not very good at writing, so bear with me as I move outside my comfort zone a little bit! To start, I might as well post some snapshots of MY kids that I took during this stretch of fabulous weather!

While a portrait is nice, nothing compares to capturing G's true, fun-loving personality!
